East Pointe Military MinistryIt's here! For all involved with the military and those who want to support them; active duty, veteran, spouse, parent, and child; here is a community in the ministry of Christ that understands YOU. Whether you are in faith with Christ, finding faith, or have lost your faith somewhere in this life, you will find a connection of minds here at East Pointe Church (EPC). Our Military Support Group is taking off and growing strong. This is a network of people that share your values, care for you, and want to actively help you through emotional, spiritual, and even family and household needs. Our goal is to reach out to all people and stick together as we walk through life.
For those of you familiar with the "Family Readiness Group" you will find a welcome change of support through EPC. While the church's main focus is on Christ and teaching the Gospel, the Military Support Group is focused on you through our faith in Christ. Rank and gossip are not issues here as we are all equal in the eyes of God. So if you're a mom that needs a hand, a parent worried for your young soldier, or a veteran who can share your story to help others; this is a proactive and healthy environment where you can reach out to others. We also participate in sending audio of our weekly sermons as well as personal letters and care packages to our troops overseas. We also encourage the civilians in our congregation to reach out in support to our active troops, their families, and our amazing veterans. This is not a formal bible study but a real support group through which you may find yourself reaching out to God. We meet once a month but we are connected with the church. We believe that Christ is the answer and the way through all of life's hardships. If you are new to this idea, you will be amazed at how others' have triumphed over the worst circumstances through the Love of Christ and the Grace of God. If you are hurting and lost, Christ can transform your life. "We are always a work in progress with the Lord. Working in this ministry, I have met some of the strongest people I know. You definitely learn to count your blessings." ~ Tina Priest. Please come and join us as we walk this journey of life together. Next Meeting: TBA for November/December

Eric and Tina Priest are the forefront of this ministry. They will act as a liaison for you on behalf of East Pointe Church when you find yourself in need. Eric's grandfather was a WWII veteran and his father a Viet Nam veteran. Eric himself joined the Navy following high school and has been in active duty for 12 years. God called on Eric and he studied in Georgia to become an ordained minister in May of 2007. Tina, being a military wife and mother of two, knows well the trials and stresses of deployment. It is through Christ and her EPC family that they have kept a healthy and happy marriage for 8 years.
